Emerald Azzurra

The Halong Shipbuilding Co. in Vietnam is building a 100-passenger, 110-metre/360-foot super yacht to be named Emerald Azzurra.

The new vessel is scheduled to come on line in July 2021. While it will be certified for unrestricted passenger ship operations in all ocean regions except polar, Emerald Azzurra is being custom-designed to cruise the waters of the Adriatic Coast, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.

Boutique yachting experience

It will offer a boutique yachting experience, visiting smaller ports and harbours that can only be reached by small yachts, giving passengers the opportunity to explore towns and villages off the beaten tourist track.

All spacious suites will have ensuite bathrooms and 88% will have balconies.

The Reflections Restaurant will serve fresh, locally sourced produce, with complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner.

Watersports platform

There will be a marina platform with paddle boards and snorkelling equipment and three tenders and two Zodiacs for shore landings.

Emerald Waterways has been operating award-winning river cruises since 2014,’ Glen Moroney, owner and chairman of the Scenic Group, said. ‘The launch of Emerald Yacht Cruises and the stunning new Emerald Azzurra are a logical extension of the Emerald Cruises’ portfolio.

‘This launch also provides a unique opportunity to introduce the Emerald Cruises brand to the Australian market.’
