Bogler is replacing FleetPro's Robert Straubhaar at the helm of IG RiverCruise. His initial term in office will last for one year, until the next AGM.

The federation's new board consists of Thomas Bogler, Daniel Buchmüller (FleetPro), Alexander Nothegger (Premicon AG) and Daniel Thiriet (AmaWaterways).

Along with Straubhaar, also Papageno's Thomas Höferer left the board of IG RiverCruise.

The federation's md, Helge Grammerstorf, used the opportunity to express IG RiverCruise's gratitude to its co-founder and long serving board member, Straubhaar.

Grammerstorf said Straubhaar had decisively contributed to the excellent relationship within Europe's community of river operators as well as between the operators and their partners. ‘For that, Robert Straubhaar deserves our respect and sincere thanks’ Grammerstorf said.

IG RiverCruise has currently 22 members operating over 200 ships; representing the vast majority of Europe's river cruise business.
