On any sea vessel, safety is always the number one priority, and prior to embarking on any voyage all passengers and crew must take part in a muster drill to prepare for a safe evacuation in case of an emergency. The Oracle Shipboard Property Management (SPMS) platform and its new Mobile Mustering capabilities help simplify this process with an upgraded interface that provides a real-time accurate and efficient head count of passengers, crew, and other visitors on board, ensuring everyone is safely accounted for.

Oracle’s new Mobile Mustering capabilities include:

  • Driving onboard efficiencies and expediting the mustering process, enabling guests to enjoy their time onboard faster than before, while still improving a ship’s safety.

  • Flexibility to utilize hardware ranging from the Oracle MICROS Handheld 500 to a wide array of third-party mobile devices including Apple and Android-powered products.

  • Scalable mustering capabilities that accommodate the size of a vessel or number of passengers on board by connecting as many devices as needed to a ship’s master station.

“Oracle’s new Mobile Mustering intuitive dashboard streamlines the tracking of passenger RFID-enabled cards, helping to ensure that crew is doing everything they can to make sure the ship is as safe as possible,” said Ingo Soerensen, area vice president of global cruise sales, Oracle Hospitality. “It is scalable to any number of mobile devices ensuring crew can quickly account for the handling large crowd movements during an emergency drill or actual emergency.”
