RINA’s certification verifies that MSC Virtuosa’s CCTV systems can support crew in the identification of any issues that might occur on board
MSC Virtuosa has been granted ‘Watchful’ certification by RINA for its CCTV systems.

MSC Cruises claimed to be the first line in the industry to receive the acknowledgement.

‘Watchful’ certification

RINA's accreditation validates a novel technology – or an existing one applied to a new environment – after assessing its fitness for purpose, safety and reliability and compliance with the regulatory framework.

MSC Virtuosa’s on board CCTV

Verification testifies to MSC Virtuosa’s CCTV system being properly integrated with the compulsory mooring and docking camera system and that it can support crew in the identification of any issues that might occur.

Collection of evidence

It also states that the quality and reliability of CCTV coverage on board MSC Virtuosa can be used for the collection of evidence in the event of an incident or investigation.

The ship's CCTV cameras have been reduced in number and optimised, covering blind spots and monitoring restricted areas.
