Royal Caribbean International's Liberty of the Seas and Iberocruceros' Grand Holiday were at Villefranche.

The full-day event was organized by the city of Villefranche-sur-Mer and the French Riviera Cruise Club. It highlighted the fact that the mountains are just an hour's drive from the coast.

The festivities aimed at enticing cruisers back to the area during the winter season.

All the regional tourism partners presented their new products for the coming winter season. The General Council of the Alpes Maritimes promoted activities like mountain biking and horseback riding, the Tourist Board Riviera presented the new Cote d’Azur-CARD, and various tourist offices from ski resorts like Mercantour and Valberg offered information.

The alpine possibilities are one of the main themed 'outdoor activities' promoted in the French Riviera Cruise Club's new brochure, 'A cruise of discovery.'
