AIDAprima is to resume operations July 3, with seven-day cruises from Kiel through Oct. 23
AIDA Cruises opened new voyages following high demand for sailings from Kiel that begin May 22 and said Germans returning from the Canary Islands and Greece will no longer have to quarantine if they show proof of a negative COVID-19 test on arrival.

AIDA will add further departures from Kiel and Rostock-Warnemünde. AIDAsol's three-/four-day program from Kiel was extended to June 26. After a five-day voyage, the ship will then depart from Rostock-Warnemünde through July 18, also on short cruises.

AIDAprima to resume

Another vessel, AIDAprima, will resume operations July 3, with seven-day cruises from Kiel through Oct. 23.

No port calls initially

AIDAsol and AIDAprima won't make port calls initially. As soon as North Sea and Baltic destinations open for cruises, destinations will be added.

These changes mean the itineraries planned for AIDAsol between June 12 and July 18 and for AIDAprima between June 6 and Oct. 23 are altered. Impacted passengers will be contacted with rebooking options.

Meanwhile, AIDAperla's Canary Islands cruises from Gran Canaria continue and AIDAblu's Greece cruises from Corfu will start May 23.

The previously required quarantine will no longer apply when travelers return to Germany, provided they have the negative COVID test certificate.

'AIDA Promise'

The 'AIDA Promise' program offering reduced deposits and flexible rebooking is available for new bookings up to June 30 and valid for departures to March 31, 2022.
