AIDAbella makes a maiden call to Shanghai

Early Sunday morning AIDAbella became the first ship In AIDA Cruises’ fleet to sail past Shanghai’s famous skyline, before the ship docked at the International Cruise Terminal at around 6.30am.

AIDAbella will remain in the city until April 4 2017, performing an inaugural turnaround in China before heading off to Japan and Taiwan, and then continuing onto Hong Kong and Vietnam, and finishing in Singapore.

The number of overseas cruise tourists visiting Chinese ports increased by 8% to 277,430 in 2016.

After the Asia season, AIDAbella will spend the summer in North Europe, offering cruises from Kiel to Norway and the Baltic.
