The cruise line will also cover passengers’ return transport from the next available port to their point of embarkation as part of the initiative.

Short itineraries exempt

The guarantee – applicable to new customers booking an itinerary of four nights or more on Ambience or Ambition and whose reservation was made after January 19 – is accompanied by the tagline: ‘Enjoy Yourself on Your First Cruise - or Your Money Back!’ Passengers must state their intention to leave the cruise, and the reason why, to the hotel director within 24 hours of embarkation. Any extra costs incurred while on board, such as drinks, gifts, shopping, laundry, spa or communications, will not be refunded.

‘Guest feedback on the unforgettable experiences we provide to all who sail with us has been incredibly positive since we first went into operation,’ said Christian Verhounig, CEO, Ambassador Cruise Line, which launched in 2021.

‘We strongly believe that our incredible offering will prove as attractive to new guests as it is to our loyal repeaters.’

He said the move ‘adds an extra layer of confidence’ as the line looks to welcome many more new passengers in the months and years to come.

Winter promotion

The guarantee’s introduction falls during Ambassador’s Turn of Year sales campaign, which runs until February 13. It includes half price deals on all drinks packages in the 2024/25 season; a range of special offers on selected sailings; kids from £99 on multigenerational itineraries; group offers; and solo supplements on four selected cabin types, including junior suites on certain sailings available from 25% supplement.

TOY offers are available for sailings on both Ambassador ships, with Ambience operating from its home port of London Tilbury and Ambition sailing from Tilbury, plus seven additional regional ports: Newcastle, Dundee, Edinburgh Leith, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol and Falmouth.
