Another large cruise ship exits the Baltic as MSC Grandiosa switches to Norway

MSC Grandiosa will sail from Kiel, Germany, to Copenhagen then on to the Norwegian Fjords
MSC Grandiosa will be fully dedicated to the Norwegian Fjords this summer, becoming the latest large ship to exit the Baltic.

This follows Enchanted Princess and Norwegian Getaway canceling their Baltic sailings — all the fallout of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Sailing from Kiel

MSC Grandiosa will sail from Kiel, Germany, to Copenhagen then on to the Norwegian Fjords, calling Hellesylt for Sunnylvsfjord and sailing through Aurlandsfjord to Ålesund and the village of Flåm.

MSC Cruises had previously suspended calls to St Petersburg, Russia, on MSC Grandiosa, MSC Preziosa, MSC Poesia and MSC Virtuosa.

MSC Preziosa and MSC Poesia will also offer additional seven-night options to the Norwegian Fjords.

Poesia and Preziosa port substitutions for St. Petersburg

MSC Poesia and MSC Preziosa's St. Petersburg calls will be replaced by Visby in the Swedish island of Gotland, Stockholm or Tallinn, Estonia.

Passengers booked on MSC Grandiosa’s former Baltic itineraries and still wishing to cruise there can opt for MSC Poesia or MSC Preziosa this summer.

Other Norwegian Fjords cruises for summer 2022 include MSC Magnifica from Hamburg and MSC Virtuosa from Southampton.
