This newly created post will include developing the Travel Agents European Program as well as trade promotions, campaigns and events.

Lacarrière will also play a major role in recruiting executive partners.

Lacarrière has experience in the cruise sector, having spent eight years at Croisières de France, a Pullmantur subsidiary, as general manager for France, Belgium and Switzerland, before the Paris-based company ceased operations.

CLIA's Andy Harmer, svp membership commented, ‘It is essential that European travel agents understand the growth opportunities of their cruise activity. Joining CLIA gives access to unique resources, an accredited vocational training and great venues.’

‘I am quite happy to join CLIA,’ Lacarrière said, ‘as the cruise industry is moving at a rapid pace in France and throughout Europe. CLIA has developed a high level of knowledge in order to sustain professional training across the region.’
