Arnold Donald: 'Costa is not going direct in the UK'

Reports that Costa Cruises is shifting to purely direct sales in the UK must have 'got lost in translation,' Carnival Corp. & plc chief Arnold Donald said on Friday.

'Costa is not going direct in the UK,' Donald told analysts during Carnival's earnings call.

Costa does very little business in the UK and is choosing to concentrate elsewhere, Donald said, however, the company values agents and those in the UK can still make bookings for their clients.
