Called 33 Degrees, the new company will offer ‘a concierge style of service’ for people booking the luxurious high-end packages.

He said his three favourite cities—Sydney, Cape Town and Santiago—are all 33 degrees south of the equator, hence the name 33 Degrees.

Dudley said the growth of ecruising’s escorted cruise-and-stay tours, which visit some of the world’s most remote and interesting destinations and incorporate ship charters, private jets, luxury trains and the exclusive use of small resorts, has necessitated a ‘unique and separate company.’

There is a range of ‘director’s selection’ tours personally developed and hosted by Dudley. The first under the 33 Degrees banner is a 32-night ‘Seven Wonders of South Africa’ package which departs Cape Town on January 11, 2017, and includes the return to Australia aboard Queen Mary 2.
