Murray River Paddlesteamers, which operates the 16-passenger Emmylou on Australia’s longest river, released its 2024-25 programme featuring new shore excursions.

There are three-, four- and seven-night cruises from April next year until March 2025 between Echuca and Torrumbarry Weir on the Victorian/New South Wales border.

All multi-day river cruises include free return train trips between Melbourne and Echuca.

Great Aussie Beer Shed

Claimed to be the world’s only wood-fired paddle steamer carrying overnight guests, Emmylou is offering a range of new shore experiences, including a visit to Echuca’s Great Aussie Beer Shed & Heritage Farm Museum, along with existing tours to local wineries and a campfire barbecue under the stars with a river storyteller.

To mark the launch there is a 10% discount for bookings made on new cruises by July 31. There are also discounts for solo travellers, off-peak sailings and groups and agents receive 10% commission.
