Azamara's summer 2026 Europe features eclipse cruises

Azamara Cruises' 2026 summer Europe program includes three ships, 77 new itineraries and three solar eclipse voyages.

The March to October deployment spans the Mediterranean and Northern Europe with extended time in Greece, Ireland and the British Isles. Standouts include the three solar eclipse cruises taking place in August.

Michael Pawlus, head of itinerary planning, also cited five maiden calls at ports accessible only to smaller ships and new pre– and post–cruise land programs. He also noted Azamara continues to offer more late nights and overnight stays in port, giving time to discover the destinations.

Solar eclipse cruises

The solar eclipse cruises are Azamara Onward's Aug. 2 11-night Mediterranean cruise to Greece, Turkey and italy, Azamara Quest's Aug. 7 12-night 'Ireland Intensive Cruise' with Belfast, Dublin and Galway and Azamara Journey's Aug. 8 18-night Iceland and Canada voyage with Reykjavik, St. John and Québec City.

Maiden calls

Azamara ships will call for the first time at Sarande, Albania; Fredericia, Denmark; Turku, Finland; Menton, France and Karlskrona, Sweden.

New itinerary TBA

In summer 2026 Azamara Pursuit will also embark on a new itinerary to what the line teased as 'one of the world’s top bucket-list destinations, renowned for its natural beauty and diverse range of wildlife,' with details in the coming weeks.

New land programs

The three-night 'Icelandic Highlands, Reykjavik, Iceland' offers an immersive discovery of natural wonders, including world-famous waterfalls, hot springs and remote highlands. Highlights include the Kerid Crater, Gullfoss Waterfall and the mountains and glaciers of Kerlingarfjöll Highlands.

Travelers will be able to join a guided hike on the Hveradalir trail and relax in the Secret Lagoon of Fludir before heading to Fridheimar, a popular lunch spot where they'll meet a family who introduces them to their market greenhouse production and famous tomato soup. The program concludes with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park.

The three-night 'Ancient Wonders of Egypt & Greece - Athens, Greece' focuses on the history and ancient civilizations of Egypt and Greece. Cairo highlights include the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Great Pyramids of Giza, followed by a Nile dinner cruise with entertainment.

Athens activities include a trip to Cape Sounion for the Temple of Poseidon, a city tour, authentic Greek dinner and traditional folkloric dances at one of the Plaka's oldest taverns and a visit to the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum.
