CLIA president and ceo called CLIA Cruise Week an 'all hands on deck' promotion that rewards first-time and frequent cruisers.

Among the savings and special offers, available through CLIA member travel agencies and agents, are upgrades and discounts, on-board credits, special airfares, and free and discounted shore excursions. Offers apply to thousands of sailings in the Caribbean, Europe, Alaska, Canada/New England, the Panama Canal, South America, Australia and the South Pacific, the Middle East and Asia.

Examples include Norwegian Cruise Line's 10% off the fare in the form of on-board credits plus $100 on-board credit per person for specialty sailings and $300 in on-board credits for select itineraries. Carnival Cruise Lines is reducing deposits by 50%, giving a two-category upgrade and $50 on-board credit per stateroom.

Carnival, which has an agent promotion that's giving away 25 cabins each day in October for those who are part of the trade email list, accessible at GoCCL.com, is tripling the cruise give-aways to 75 each day during CLIA Cruise Week. Winners are chosen at random from among agents on Carnival's trade distribution list.

HAL is giving an extra on-board credit, depending on the length of the cruise and type of cabin booked, in addition to all its ongoing 'Explore4' offers.

Royal Caribbean International has a 50% off rate for the second passenger in a cabin and 5% off the line's ChoiceAir fare bookings. Princess Cruises is taking 30% off plus giving free gratuities and on-board credit for bookings in balcony staterooms and above.

Customers can book balcony staterooms at ocean-view rates for select sailings in both the Caribbean and Europe with MSC Cruises USA, and 'Fantastica experience' bookings get a free beverage package. Free gratuities are available on select Caribbean sailings.

Disney Cruise Line is giving a $100 on-board credit on select seven-night western Caribbean cruises, while Hurtigruten is taking 10% off current fares for Norwegian coastal voyages on new 2014 and 2015 bookings.

Cunard is offering up to $175 per stateroom on-board credit on any bookings made for trans-Atlantic crossings aboard Queen Mary 2, while Paul Gauguin Cruises is giving $100 on-board credit per person and 50% off standard all-inclusive cruise fares on Paul Gauguin and the Tere Moana voyages; airfare is included from Los Angeles with Gauguin itineraries.

Avalon River Cruises is offering savings of $1,300 per couple for river cruises in Europe, while AmaWaterways is shaving $200 per stateroom off the price of any 2014 or 2015 cruise. The offer may be combined with current Ama promotions such as up to 40% savings on 'Christmas on the Rhine' Nov. 24, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 departures this year aboard AmaCerto.
