Appeal for gym rats, CrossFitters, competitors and yogis
'This is exactly the kind of vacation our readers have been asking for—one that travels to gorgeous locations, offers fresh and healthy food and caters to their fitness needs both on board and off the ship,' Lara McGlashan, editor-in-chief of Oxygen, said. 'It will satisfy everyone’s need for adventure without sacrificing health, and everyone—from gym rats to CrossFitters to competitors to yogis—will fall in love with this idea.'
'Oxygen’s mission statement—Train Smart. Eat Right. Be Strong.—confirms that we share the same philosophy and mindset,' Blue World Voyages CEO John B. Richards said.
Mid-2019 launch
Blue World Voyages aims to launch in mid-2019 and envisions a fleet of three ships over the next five years. The company plans to downsize an existing 900-passenger ship to accommodate only 350 travelers in generously sized staterooms and larger public spaces.
'Teaming up with Oxygen underscores our commitment to providing high-quality experiences for our guests on board the ship, ashore and even after they return home,' said Gene Meehan, Blue World Voyages’ co-founder and chairman.
The partnership calls for two fitness and health voyages a year exclusively for Oxygen's readership community. Readers are invited to register for updates on the voyages and receive a $150 on-board credit any time they sail. Details are here.
This partnership closely follows Blue World Voyages' teaming with Outside, the active lifestyle magazine, and Hank Haney Golf.
