Caledonian Sky to exit Captain Cook Cruises Fiji
Just over a year since chartering Caledonian Sky for small ship expedition voyages in Fiji, Captain Cook Cruises Fiji is closing the operation.
Executive Chairman Allison Haworth West, daughter of the late Capt. Trevor Haworth who founded Captain Cook Cruises in 1970 and its Fijian operation in 1996, took delivery of the 114-passenger ship in August 2023.
Haworth West said the vision was for Caledonian Sky to bring luxury cruising to the outer islands.
Outstanding feedback
She said passenger loads have been building and there has been outstanding feedback from passengers.
Caledonian Sky’s final seven-night ‘Ultimate Lau & Kadavu’ voyage will depart Port Denarau on October 26.
Passengers with bookings after November are being offered a cabin upgrade on an earlier departure.
