APT owned the 100-passenger ship before selling to another company that chartered it to Captain Cook Cruises Fiji in August 2023.

As reported here, Caledonian Sky will make her final voyage for Captain Cook Cruises Fiji from Port Denarau on October 26.

Much-loved ship

Travelmarvel’s CEO David Cox said he is ‘excited’ to offer passengers all-new itineraries, bringing a much-loved ship to Mediterranean shores.

‘Thanks to its boutique size, the MS Caledonian Sky allows you to access smaller ports and dock right in the heart of a city or town,’ Cox said.

‘With the ship’s shallow draught, we are able to slip away from the pack, into remote coastal towns or shallow waters.

‘Guests will get a greater insight into authentic Mediterranean local life and on many days we also stay docked later into the evening so that guests can explore after other tourists have left for the day.’

13 new itineraries

Between April and October 2025 Travelmarvel will operate 13 new itineraries, including two extended combination sailings.

Highlights of the programme include a return eight-day ‘Greek Island Explorer’ from Athens.

The 15-day ‘Mediterranean Treasures’ from Venice to Istanbul travels along the coastlines of Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Greece and Türkiye.

The 15-day ‘Adriatic & Aegean Delights’ from Venice to Athens visits Croatia, Montenegro, the Puglia coast, Delphi and Mykonos.

There is also an 11-day ‘Highlights of Canary Islands and Madeira’ cruise from Tenerife to Porto.

There are substantial early-bird savings.
