Beginning today through July 31, agents may earn 450 points, compared to the standard 150 points for new online bookings, through 2016 for all Fun Ship departures from Texas.

Carnival Freedom will join Carnival Magic, which operates seven-day Caribbean cruises, and Carnival Triumph, which sails four- and five-day cruises to Mexico.

The Travel Agent Rewards program gives points that can be redeemed for Carnival logo items, $50 and $100 Visa/MasterCard gift cards, iPads and more. Redemption items are valued between 2,500 and 100,000 points.

With the addition of Carnival Freedom in Galveston, the line will have three year-round ships in Texas that are expected to carry a total of 600,000 passengers, the most of any cruise operator.
