Carnival Venezia arrives home to New York City

Carnival Venezia sailed into its New York City homeport for the first time this morning.

The ship just completed a 15-day trans-Atlantic sailing that began in Barcelona.

Carnival Cruise Line will host a welcome ceremony Wednesday evening with comedian and television host Jay Leno becoming the first godfather for a Fun Ship. On Thursday, Carnival Venezia will mark its first departure from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, a four-day Bermuda cruise.

'Carnival Fun Italian Style' debut

Carnival Venezia is debuting 'Carnival Fun Italian Style' and introducing several new concepts, from restaurants and bars to entertainment programming. Even the shops have an Italian twist.

The 25th ship in the fleet, Carnival Venezia will offer a wide range of options for cruising from New York, including 10 durations and 22 unique itineraries with visits to 25 ports across 14 countries.
