Jones said Celebrity Eclipse will make her debut in the region when she sails from Sydney on October 22 at the start of a 2022/23 season of cruises across Australia, the South Pacific and New Zealand.

'Someday' has arrived

‘We always knew that someday we would showcase the wonders of this region from our luxury ships once more,’ he said.

‘We’re thrilled that ‘someday’ has arrived and soon so will Celebrity Eclipse. We can’t wait to welcome everyone onboard come October.

‘People are ready to cruise again, with pent-up demand reflected in the high volume of enquiries and bookings we’ve been taking in anticipation of the ‘green light’ from the government.’

Longer stay in Christchurch

Highlights of the programme include longer stays in port with 8 p.m. departures from popular destinations including Christchurch and the return of an Auckland to Fiji itinerary over the January holiday season.
