Costa Mediterranea's China debut

Costa Mediterranea will make its China debut, operating in the southern part of the country. The homeport was not disclosed.

Besides the traditional short itineraries for the China market, Costa Venezia will offer a longer cruise during Chinese New Year.

Working to restart cruises

'Costa Cruises has always been full of confidence in the Chinese cruise market. We are now actively preparing for cruise resumption. Once the circumstances permit, we hope that we can provide our guests with a safe, comfortable and Italianate cruise holiday as we always do,' said Mario Zanetti, president of Costa Group Asia.

Costa said it is working with Chinese authorities on detailed health measures to strengthen pre-trip screening and on-board operations to address COVID-19.

The line also introduced a flexible booking policy in combination with early bird discounts.
