Crown Princess to be biggest cruise ship based year-round in Australia

A highlight of the company’s 2024-25 Australia and New Zealand programme, which goes on sale to the general public on April 5, is the longest round world sailing from Australia to be operated by Crown Princess from Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland in May and June 2025.

The 113-night voyage will visit 49 ports across 28 countries, including Spain, Norway, Greenland, Morocco, Easter Island and Peru.

Round voyage from Hobart

Another highlight of the programme is the company’s first round trip from Hobart — an 18-night voyage to New Zealand departing November 14, 2024 aboard Royal Princess.

117 departures

Between October 2024 and September 2025 Crown Princess, Diamond Princess and Royal Princess will offer 117 departures from two days to 113-nights.

They will sail from seven ports — Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle, Hobart and Auckland — and visit 66 destinations. 

There will be late stays in 13 ports such as Victoria’s Phillip Island for the evening parade of fairy penguins. 

Longer durations

‘Thanks to Crown Princess’ generous size, we’ll be able to carry over 50% more guests on popular itineraries like our world cruise and Australian circumnavigation voyages, adding more affordable stateroom types and more premium suites than ever before to cater for a broad range of travellers,’ Padgett said.
