The ship was scheduled to offer the 10-night Caribbean-based voyages from August through December.

Crystal Cruises cited the 'ongoing uncertainty regarding ports of call and availability of adequate airlift.'

'Positive developments of ships sailing from US ports'

The line said the 'recent positive developments of ships sailing from US ports have prompted US travelers to show an increased preference for more direct access to luxury cruise options, and we do plan to announce a new deployment for Crystal Symphony close to home later this week.'

Impacted passengers and their travel advisors have been notified.

Meanwhile, Crystal Serenity is set to begin a season of homeporting from Nassau, Bahamas, on July 3.
