Crystal world cruise segments delve into S. America, Caribbean, Antarctica
Crystal Cruises’ 2017 world voyage is comprised of six segments ranging from 10 to 23 days, each featuring at least one overnight stay. Focused on South America and the Caribbean, with the first world cruise visit to Antarctica in 10 years, the 94-day voyage sails round-trip Miami aboard Crystal Serenity.

The cruise sails Jan. 11. The first leg, Miami to Colón, Panama, lasts 11 days, with destinations in Mexico, Honduras and Costa Rica. After an overnight at Colón, the Jan. 23 segment features a Panama Canal transit en route to Ecuador, then several Peruvian ports (including two maiden calls) and four days in Chile highlighted by a three-night inclusive exploration of Machu Picchu. This segment stretches 20 days.
On Feb. 8, a 23-day segment begins with a pre-cruise three-night extended land program to Machu Picchu then continues as the voyage embarks on 11 days exploring Chile and Argentina, before cruising Cape Horn, Antarctica and the Falkland Islands and returning to Uruguay and Argentina.
An 11-day segment on March 3 follows as Crystal Serenity visits Argentina and Uruguay, and spends seven nights in Brazil, with overnight stays at Buenos Aires, Buzios and Rio de Janeiro. The journey begins with a two-night, pre-cruise extended land program to Iguazú Falls.
An intensive Brazilian itinerary on March 14 begins with the Iguazú Falls land program and gives a whopping 16 days in the country. Calls to Devil’s Island, Granada and Barbados lend some Caribbean flair to the 22-day sailing.
The final segment, on April 5, departs Barbados after an overnight stay and sails to Caribbean ports like St. Lucia, Martinique, St. Barts, Samaná, Grand Turk and Key West before reaching Miami. This portion stretches 10 days.
The 'Southern Celebración' world cruise segments are available for booking with new low fares in most categories starting at $3,865 per person when booked by Dec. 30. A free extended land program is available to travelers in deluxe stateroom with verandah and penthouse category accommodations.
The full cruise fares begin at $35,340 per person when also booked by Dec. 30 and include special on-board programs, two exclusive shoreside events and $1,000 on-board credit.
