At the beginning of the year, Costa Atlantica was transferred to CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping
CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping Ltd, the joint venture between CSSC and Carnival Corp. & plc, formed a cruise ship operations team based in Shanghai.

The group will prepare for the resumption of cruising from China when the time is right.

Cherry Wang promotion

Cherry Wang, former VP and general manager of Princess Cruises China, will take up the position as SVP of CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping and lead the team.

She also will be accountable for branding, marketing, sales and commercial operations for CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping, as well as communications with travel agencies and passengers.

Ready to sail immediately when allowed

Roger Chen, managing director of CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping, said the company will be ready to sail immediately once China opens the cruise tourism market. Sailings will be tailored to Chinese passengers.

At the beginning of the year, the 85,861gt Costa Atlantica was transferred to CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping. The newly established cruise ship operations team is expected to manage the vessel independently starting next month.

Plus, marketing for Princess and Cunard

In the future, CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping will also take charge of market promotion for Princess Cruises and Cunard Line throughout China.
