Diamond Princess returns to Singapore for 2022/23 Asia cruises

Princess Cruises' 2022/23 Asia program features a new Malaysia itinerary from Singapore for Diamond Princess and sailings to eight countries including Japan.

Altogether there are 21 departures of eight unique itineraries to 19 destinations.

The new seven-day 'Southeast Asia with Malaysian Peninsula' itinerary features the line's first call to Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in more than a decade, as well Port Kelang (for Kuala Lumpur), Penang and Langkawi in Malaysia plus Phuket, Thailand. Dates for this round-trip Singapore program are Dec. 11 and Dec. 28, 2022, and Jan. 14 and Feb. 7 and Feb. 24, 2023.

Holiday voyages

Also featured are holiday voyages over Christmas and New Year’s, including a 10-day 'Southeast Asia with Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia' itinerary and a seven-day 'Southeast Asia with Malaysian Peninsula' that can be combined. 

'Southeast Asia with Thailand & Vietnam,' seven days round-trip Singapore, visits Ko Samui, Laem Chabang (for Bangkok) and Phu My (for Ho Chi Minh City). The cruise sails Jan. 21, 2023.

'Southeast Asia with Thailand, Vietnam & Cambodia,' 10 days, round-trip Singapore, calls at Nha Trang, Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Sihanoukville, Laem Chabang (Bangkok) and Ko Samu. Departures are Dec. 18, 2022, Jan. 4, Jan. 28 and Feb. 14, 2023.

"Southeast Asia & Japan,' 12 days, Singapore to Tokyo, Nov. 29, 2022, and Tokyo to Singapore, March 2, 2023, calls at Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Nha Trang, Hong Kong, Keelung (Taipei) and Kobe or Toba.

14-day and longer cruises

'Southeast Asia with Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam,' 14 days round-trip Singapore, visits Melaka, Port Kelang (Kuala Lumpur) Penang, Phuket, Langkawi, Singapore, Ko Samui, Laem Chabang (Bangkok) and Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City. Sailing date is Jan. 14, 2023.

'Southeast Asia Explorer,' 17 days round-trip Singapore, calls at Melaka, Port Kelang (Kuala Lumpur), Penang, Phuket, Langkawi, Singapore, Ko Samui, Laem Chabang (Bangkok), Sihanoukville, Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City) and Nha Trang. Departures are Dec. 11, Dec. 18 and Dec. 28, 2022, and Jan. 4, Jan. 28, Feb. 7 and Feb. 14, 2023.

'Japan & Southeast Asia,' 20 days from Yokohama (Tokyo) to Singapore, goes to Keelung (Taipei), Ishigaki, Okinawa, Yokohama, Shimizu (for Mount Fuji), Kobe, Keelung, Hong Kong, Nha Trang and Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City). The cruise date is Nov. 21, 2022.

Late-night stays, sacred sites

Late-night 'More Ashore' stays will be available in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, and Kobe, Japan. Sacred sites accessible on the cruises include the Blue Mosque in Shah Alam (Kuala Lumpur), Temple of the Big Buddha in Ko Samui and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the oldest and largest Buddhist Temple in Bangkok.

A five-night land adventure showcasing the jewels of Indochina, the new and ancient capital of Laos and Angkor Wat is available with the 'Best of Cambodia & Laos' cruise-tour, combined with a seven-day 'Southeast Asia with Malaysian Peninsula' cruise or 12-day 'Southeast Asia & Japan' cruise.

Diamond Princess offers the largest open-air Japanese bath at sea, an 8,800-square-foot bath and garden complex with indoor and outdoor bathing experiences including steam rooms, saunas and hot tubs with ocean vistas. The ship also features Kai Sushi, an authentic sushi bar, and traditional music and entertainment.
