Disney Wonder to cruise Australia/New Zealand next year

Disney Wonder will make the company’s first voyage to the South Pacific in October next year
Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts, confirmed Disney Wonder will operate a local season in Australia and New Zealand next year.

D’Amaro’s announcement came immediately after the name of Disney’s sixth ship, Disney Treasure, was revealed at the D23 Expo

First South Pacific voyage

The 2,700-passenger Disney Wonder will make the company’s first voyage through the South Pacific, departing Honolulu on October 13, 2023, for Sydney via American Samoa, Fiji and New Caledonia.

She will return to Honolulu on a 15-night voyage from Sydney on February 16, 2024, via  New Caledonia, Fiji, American Samoa, Kahului and Maui.

Meantime, she will operate cruises in Australia and New Zealand, ranging from two to six nights, with bookings on sale September 29.

Company’s excitement

D’Amaro said Disney Cruise Line is excited to be sailing in the region for the first time.

‘On these limited-time sailings, the ship is the destination, and our amazing crew can’t wait to welcome guests on board as they are immersed in their favourite stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars,’ he said.
