The 1,856-passenger ship, which came to Australia in October 2019, will return later this year with new itineraries around Australia and New Zealand, including maiden calls at Broome, Exmouth and Fremantle.

Maiden visit to South Pacific

She will also homeport in Auckland for a series of cruises around the North and South Islands of New Zealand, with an inaugural visit to the South Pacific.

Brigita Devries, Genting Cruise Lines' VP sales and marketing, said the company has been ‘thrilled’ with the success of its deployment of Explorer Dream Down Under.

‘We have received tremendous support from both our travel partners and guests as we continue to strive to provide a unique and memorable cruise experience,’ Devries said.

The Palace

She said The Palace — the ship within a ship — provides an incomparable ‘true Asian luxury’ experience for discerning travellers across Asia and beyond, boasting a high staff to guest ratio, a majority of suites more than 40 square metres and proprietary butler training endorsed by affiliated company Crystal Cruises.
