In all, the UK line is offering four sailings from Rosyth in the coming two months including a 13-night Baltic voyage in August, and an 11-night 'France, Spain & Guernsey' cruise in September.

Black Watch's 2014 cruise season in Rosyth will sit in between the ship's seven calls at the Port of Tyne in Newcastle in July, September and October.

Nathan Philpot, sales and marketing director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: ‘The Olsen family has close links with Scotland and is committed to offering Scottish guests a range of itineraries and destinations to choose from: in fact, we will be increasing the number of sailings that we offer from Rosyth from four in 2014/15 to five in 2015/16.’

Next summer the larger 880-passenger Boudicca will be based in Rosyth. Destinations will include a seven-night cruise to Norway on June 1, 2015, and a 16-night 'Poison, Murder & Mystery Cruise' on July 10, 2015, which will be linking the 'Poison Gardens' in Alnwick Castle, Northumberland and Guimar, Tenerife.

Fred. Olsen is unveiling this participative 'murder mystery' cruise at an exclusive launch at The Tower of London, hosted by The Duchess of Northumberland and Fred. Olsen Sr, later today.

Fred. Olsen will also be offering two sailings from Greenock (Glasgow) in September 2014, to the Norwegian fjords and 'Portugal & the Azores'.
