Fred. Olsen extends Solent Stevedores’ contract for services in Southampton

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has extended Solent Stevedores' contract by two years, meaning it will provide turnaround services for the operator in Southampton through to December 2023.

Solent Stevedores has been providing logistics services to Fred. Olsen at the port since 2013. The agreement sees the company provide turnaround services to 30 Fred. Olsen calls a year in Southampton.

A 10-year partnership

‘This year we celebrate our 10-year anniversary with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, and we are thrilled to extend our agreement with them once again,’ commented Tom Dynes, operations director, Solent Stevedores. He went on to add that 'plans are well underway for a full year of cruise operations at the Port of Southampton,' describing 2022 as 'a year of recovery for the UK cruise industry.’

The Solent Stevedores team has a combined 150 years’ experience providing cruise services; overall it handles 800 turnarounds each year at the Port of Southampton and Marina Bay, Singapore.
