Genoa: MSC Cruises’ strategic hub for the Mediterranean

Genoa's leading customer, MSC Cruises embarked or disembarked more than 65,000 passengers at the port's Stazione Marittima cruise terminal during the first 15 days of this season (April 15-30, 2016).

in total, 887,000 MSC passengers will pass through Genoa’s cruise terminal this year, a 25.5% increase compared to 2015 (707,000 passengers) with 185 ship calls compared to 133 last year.
 
Starting this past weekend, MSC Armonia and MSC Preziosa (on Saturdays) and MSC Poesia and MSC Fantasia (on Sundays) will sail from Genoa every weekend throughout the season, which for MSC Cruises accounts for 32% of the total Italian market.

11% or over 300,000 of the more than 2.7m passengers MSC Cruises is expected to carry to Italy by ship this year have selected itineraries with Genoa as a homeport.
 
MSC Cruises activities in Genoa this year will involve 183 local companies, generating an impact of more than €46m for the Liguria region.
