The ship was in Brindisi on a charter to house police providing security for the Group of Seven summit this week.

According to Reuters, other accommodations had to be found after unions 'bemoaned poor sanitary conditions onboard' — water leaks, unusable toilets and broken air conditioning affecting many cabins.

Seatrade Cruise News reached out to a public relations agency representing Neonyx Cruises for information.

Former Mykonos Magic, built in 2004 as Costa Magica

The 3,470-passenger ship was built in 2004 as Costa Magica. During the pandemic it was among a number of vessels exiting the Carnival Corp. & plc fleet and the eighth acquired by Seajets' Marios Iliopoulos

Handed over in Feburary 2023, initially it was renamed Mykonos Magic but hasn't operated in revenue service.

Renamed Goddess of the Night, it recently was announced to begin offering short music festival and party cruises in the Aegean for adults only starting July 15.
