Grand Asia, Golden Week itineraries replace Mitsui's 2025 world cruise

Mitsui Ocean Cruises released new April to July 2025 itineraries, including 'Grand Asia' and Golden Week sailings.

Mitsui Ocean Fuji's debut 2025 world cruise was replaced with new April to July itineraries around Japan and in wider AsiaPHOTOS: MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES

These replace the world cruise that was planned for new ship Mitsui Ocean Fuji (currently sailing as Seabourn Odyssey) due to safety concerns about the Suez Canal area.

The new lineup includes eight- to 12-day itineraries from April to May, while the 66-day 'Grand Asia' will sail from mid-May to mid-July.

Spring cruises

'Spring Cruise with Yeosu,' eight days, embarks April 10 and sails roundtrip Yokohama with calls at Yeosu, Nagasaki and Ibusuki.

'Spring Cruise with Jeju,' also eight days and roundtrip Yokohama, begins April 17 and calls at Jeju, Hakata and Sukumo.

The Golden Week cruise, 12 days roundtrip Yokohama, departs April 24 and visits Ofunato, Hakodate, Aomori, Miyazu, Hamada and Korea's Busan.

'Spring Cruise with UNESCO World Heritage Sites,' nine days starting May 5, operates roundtrip Yokohama with calls at Hofu, Sasebo, Yeosu, Shimonoseki and Toba.

Grand Asia

The 'Grand Asia Cruise' includes 24 ports in 10 countries and regions, with overnight stops at marquee destinations such as Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Laem Chabang, Singapore and Darwin. It, too, operates roundtrip Yokohama and other destinations are Kobe, Ishigaki, Ha Long Bay, Danang, Sihanoukville, Samui, Melaka, Penang, Langkawi, Phuket, Port Klang, Benoa, Komodo, Makassar, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Kaohsiung, Keelung and Naha.

The new cruises will open for booking in August.

The 452-passenger, all-suite Mitsui Ocean Fuji is scheduled to debut in Yokohama Dec. 1.
