The cruise itinerary includes stops in Israel, Egypt and Jordan. The inclusion of Egypt signals the return of Egypt to itinerary planning.

The first call in Haifa was on October 20 and the 89-passenger ship is scheduled to be visiting Israel’s third largest city twice monthly through to the final call of the season on March 22, 2018.

The two week cruise includes two Suez Canal ports(Sokna and Hurghada), for visiting the pyramids of Cairo and Luxor, plus the chance to explore Petra from Aqaba before returning overland to Haifa, or in reverse if embarking in Aqaba.

Zohar Rom, head of cruise marketing for Haifa Port, and the Mayor of Haifa, Yona Yahav, extended a warm welcome to Clio and its guests on its first call last month.

Rom said, ‘This is very exciting for us. The fact that Grand Circle Line chose Haifa to be the home port for such an amazing adventure highlights the fact that Israel’s air lift has increased dramatically, and demonstrates Haifa Port’s viability as a great port of departure.  I would like to thank Grand Circle Line for giving us this opportunity, and Access Cruise, who is our partner and resource in making connections in the cruise industry.’

Grand Circle Line has planned roughly 20 cruises on Clio during the 2017/18 season.
