The Swaledale Festival is an annual celebration of music and arts in the beautiful landscape of the three northernmost Yorkshire Dales - Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale.

With a primary emphasis on classical music, the Festival attracts the finest artists from all over the world, and regularly commissions new work.

Ken Charleson, coo of Hebridean Island Cruises, commented, 'As a Yorkshire-based company we are delighted that we have been given the opportunity to be one of the main sponsors at next year’s Swaledale Festival. We already operate cruises of musical interest, both in Scotland and on the rivers of Europe, and the performance of Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture by the Hallé Orchestra in Leyburn will fit neatly alongside our musical interests.'

The two-week Swaledale Festival begins on May 28, 2016.
