New Zealand’s Island Escape Cruises, operator of the 30-passenger super yacht Island Escape, has extended its ‘Ultimate Fiordland’ 10-night sailings from December 12 until March 18, 2023.

After an overnight in Queenstown, there is a coach transfer to Te Anau for a 20-minute scenic helicopter flight to join Island Escape in Doubtful Sound.

The boutique ship, with a crew of 14, travels around Pickersgill Harbour, Dusky and Breaksea sounds, Wet Jacket Arm, Vancouver Arm and Broughton Arm before heading north to Nancy, Charles, Caswell, George and Bligh Sounds and entering Milford Sound.

Helicopter transfer back

On the final day passengers are transferred by helicopter from Milford Sound to Queenstown.

There are Zodiacs to explore the fiords and an experienced Fiordland guide on board to explain the local history and geology of the region.

All-inclusive fares

Fares are from NZ$13,950 per person and include a night’s accommodation and breakfast in Queenstown, nine nights aboard Island Escape in an ocean-view suite with ensuite bathroom, all beverages (wine/spirits/beer/champagne) and the two helicopter transfers.

Island Escape Cruises has a 20-year permit from the New Zealand government to operate in the bucket-list World Heritage Fiordland.
