Under radiant sunshine, Le Havre welcomed the first cruise ship of the season yesterday as AIDAmar visited the French Atlantic port.

The AIDA ship will call seven times in total before other cruise ships arrive for their North European seasons In all, Le Havre is expecting 128 ships in 2016 and over 285,000 passengers - a new record.

10 of the ships will calling for the first time among them AIDAprima on May 3, marking the start of her weekly calls, throughout the year.

14 interporting operations or partial turnarounds are also planned by MSC Cruises (5) with MSC Splendida to the European capitals, Costa Cruises (8) and Oceania Cruises (1). As usual, May and September are the busiest months of the season.
