'Mike is a pro's pro, and he knows how to build a strong team. We've given him some of our most challenging assignments and he finishes the puzzle every time. We're really happy to see him earn this new title,' Rob Zeiger, chief communications officer, told Seatrade Cruise News.

In the facilities area, a recent accomplishment was transforming a patch of parking lot at Royal Caribbean's PortMiami headquarters into the new Innovation Lab in less than nine months.

Jones joined Royal Caribbean in early 2009 to head supply chain.
