MSC Cruises sets first year-round sailings from New York
For the first time MSC Cruises will operate year-round from New York.
March 8, 2022
MSC Meraviglia will homeport in the city from April 2023 for a full calendar of cruises to the Caribbean, Bermuda and Canada/New England. Many of the cruises will visit Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas.
The deployment enhances MSC's North American presence, where it already sails from PortMiami and is building a huge new cruise terminal, and Port Canaveral.
Appeal for US and international travelers
'The itineraries will have a very strong appeal not only for our guests in the US but also for international holidaymakers and given the huge range of intercontinental flights to and from the Big Apple, these sailings will be accessible to guests from all around the world,' MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato said.
MSC Meraviglia will offer a wide variety of itineraries ranging from six to 11 nights. Sales open Wednesday.
Travelers will be able to soak up the sun in the Caribbean during the spring and winter seasons, head to Bermuda during the summer or go north to see Canada’s natural beauty in the autumn.
New York add-on package
Pre- and post-cruise stays in New York are available with a choice of packages including flights, four-star hotel accommodations, excursions, luggage service and transfers.
Caribbean cruises of seven or eight nights feature Nassau and Ocean Cay.
Bermuda itineraries, six nights, offer three days at King’s Wharf in the West End.
Northern itineraries of 10 and 11 nights call at Boston; Portland, Maine; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; and Saint John, New Brunswick with the 11-night option adding Newport, Rhode Island.
