MSC Cruises USA appointed a former account director in Ogilvy Washington's corporate and public affairs practice as public relations director. Based in the line's Fort Lauderdale office, Alyssa Goldfarb will report to Ken Muskat, evp sales, public relations and guest services.

Goldfarb is responsible for overall communications strategy and media outreach for the MSC Cruises brand in North America.
'With nearly a decade of public relations and marketing experience, [Goldfarb's] expertise brings additional firepower to our communications efforts and is an ideal complement to our executive team,' Muskat said.
Prior to joining MSC Cruises, Goldfarb's work at Ogilvy included managing public relations campaigns for clients such as Susan G. Komen and LG Electronics. Before that, she was with Environics Communications, a full-service PR agency, serving as the day-to-day contact for association, health care and technology clients.
Goldfarb began her career as a communications specialist at ICF International, a management and technology consulting firm, where she provided marketing communications support to various government agencies including the US Environmental Protection Agency, the US Department of Health and Human Services and the Federal Highway Administration.
