Norwegian Cruise Line hosted the first in-person cruise industry media lunch since March in Sydney to start the countdown for Norwegian Spirit's arrival.

Ben Angell, VP and MD APAC, hosted Thursday's lunch in the Harbour Room at Aria Restaurant overlooking the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay where he said there was ‘no better view for those of us who enjoy cruising.’

10- and 12-day cruises from Sydney and Auckland

Norwegian Spirit, scheduled to arrive in Sydney in December 2021 for the 2021/22 Australasian summer cruise season, will offer 10- and 12-day cruises from Sydney and Auckland.

‘Norwegian Spirit’s deployment to Australasia for her inaugural 2021/22 summer sailing season demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for the region’s loyal cruise fans,’ Angell said.

'Throwing off the shackles of 2020'

‘We are throwing off the shackles of 2020 and I am incredibly optimistic that we will be up and running soon,’ he said.

Norwegian Spirit got a reportedly $150m makeover from bow to stern in 2019.
