Reports to CEO Andy Stuart
Da Silva reports directly to Andy Stuart, president and CEO. Norwegian has not had a VP-level public relations executive since March 2015.
'This is a spectacular opportunity,' Da Silva said of the cruise job. 'The business is booming. I'm very excited.'
She brings more than 18 years of communications experience, and spent a large chunk of her career with Wyndham Hotel Group, ultimately as VP marketing communications, responsible for its 15 brands and the company's loyalty program, on a global basis. Earlier work was with Cendant Hotel Group.
After Wyndham, Da Silva built the communication strategy and team for Hampshire Hotels Management and its newly launched Début Hotel Group, whose brands include Dream Hotels.
Brand development is her forté
Most recently she launched her own strategic communications firm, based in New Jersey, with a portfolio of hotel and restaurant clients.
Da Silva considers brand development to be her forté and at Norwegian looks forward to 'putting together initiatives that are going to move the needle.'
Her team at Norwegian consists of senior public relations manager Stephanie Cardelle Martorell and PR specialists Andrea Sugranes and Brian Poole. All have agency backgrounds and some bring luxury brand experience.
