Built in 2000 as Costa Atlantica, the ship was fully reimagined for Margaritaville at Sea with six new dining concepts and 11 bars and lounges exclusive to the Islander. They include the world’s only three-story LandShark Bar at Sea with 360-degree ocean views.

Margaritaville favorites such as JWB Prime Steakhouse and Cheeseburger in Paradise are also featured.

The  2,650-passenger ship also debuts two new productions, 'Conky Tonkin' at Sea,' a country music-themed show, and 'Caribbean Heat Remix,' with dance, acrobatics and the beats of Key West and Mexico.

Family activity areas incude a playground, waterslide and splash and spra area for children, and an activity zone that mingles cornhole and mini-golf.

The staterooms, in 13 categories from solo rooms to suites, sport all-new furnishings, fixtures and Margaritaville signature bedding. Among the 1,105 accommodations are 700 balcony rooms.

Margaritaville state of mind

'We’re thrilled to kick off the summer by giving guests the opportunity to experience the Margaritaville state of mind on the open ocean like never before,' said Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea.

At the naming, godmother Savannah Buffett said: 'Bubbles up, cheers to many a lovely cruise. To the winds in our hair and margaritas in our shoes, fins up forever.'
