'We are optimistic that the issue will be resolved, and we plan to resume normal operations on April 9,' a Norwegian Cruise Line spokesperson said.

Grounded March 14

The ship grounded March 14 in the channel bed as it departed the new Taino Bay port at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. It was refloated with the help of tugs, returned to the pier and offloaded passengers then deadheaded to homeport Port Canaveral.

It has been alongside there since March 20

Norwegian initially reported 'minor' damage to the ship's hull and hasn't provided further specifics.
