Norwegian Spirit’s Alaska sailings from July 3 through Sept. 18, 2024 were canceled for a charter which a source said will be in Asia
Norwegian Spirit, whose 2024 Alaska season is going to end in July, will then head to Asia on charter for 109 nights, according to sources in China.

Norwegian Cruise Line did not confirm the Asia information but said the charter is not part of the company's Experiences at Sea charter program.

Last week NCL informed customers that Norwegian Spirit’s Alaska sailings from July 3 through Sept. 18, 2024 were canceled for a charter.

Refund and discount

Impacted passengers will get a refund and a 50% discount in the form of a future cruise credit for select saiings to Alaska this summer departing from Seward or Vancouver, BC.

Applicable itineraries include Norwegian Jewel sailings from May 22 though Sept. 25, 2023 and Norwegian Spirit voyages from May 24 through Aug. 23, 2023.

As well, passengers will receive a 10% discount in the form of an FCC for a future voyage beginning May 22, 2023. This credit may be applied toward any published NCL sailings through Dec. 31, 2024, but is not combinable with the 50% Alaska FCC.

Late 2024: Hawaii, South Pacific, Asia, Australia

According to NCL.com, Norwegian Spirit is set to sail from Vancouver on Sept. 25, 2024 to Hawaii, continuing on with Hawaii and South Pacific cruises and then to Asia and Australia in December 2024.

NCL recently expanded its sales presence in Australasia leading up to Norwegian Viva's introduction in August this year and the company's return to Asia after a three-year hiatus.
