Elisabeth Gürtler will serve as the godmother for Crystal River Cruises' first vessel, Crystal Mozart, during festivities in Vienna on July 11. 'It is fitting that such a pillar of the Viennese community as Ms. Gürtler would join the Crystal family as we expand into the stunning waterways of Austria and the surrounding areas,' said Edie Rodriguez, Crystal’s president and ceo. She added that as Crystal prepares to embark its journeys along the Danube, it's an honor to have the blessing of one of the region’s most respected citizens, who also shares Crystal’s commitment to excellence in travel.

Crystal Mozart's maiden voyage sails July 13, round-trip Vienna. The cruise will visit Dürnstein, Melk and Linz, Austria; Passau, Germany (overnight); Bratislava, Slovakia; Budapest, Hungary (overnight); and end with two nights in Vienna to allow more immersive exploration of the region.

Over the next three years Crystal will welcome six newly built river yachts to its fleet for cruises on Europe's waterways.
