'Given the importance of the cruise business to our group of companies, my proposed strategies around this were accepted by our shareholders, and it has been an incredible experience working with all our different teams across countries, and cultures,' Owen-Collett said.
He added that the A&K group of companies now have cruise operating capabilities on a global basis, 'with the ability to deliver at the very high standards that are synonymous with the group.'
David Vass, who started the cruise division a decade ago, has been promoted to head the global cruise business as svp cruise business and operations. He will be supported by Amanda Schuddinh, senior global cruise division manager, and the cruise division managers on site in each country.
Both Owen-Collett and Vass expressed their confidence that this will be a seamless transition.
Owen-Collett has been with A&K for 10 years.
Vass said he is 'excited to continue to grow our cruise division and to offer the best and most original land programs at the best possible price point.'
