Pearl Seas is back, with Canada/New England, Great Lakes cruises

The ship will return to passenger service with voyages around New England, coastal Maine, the Canadian Maritimes, the St. Lawrence Seaway and a full summer on the Great Lakes.

Starting from Portland, Maine

The 2022 season opens May 7, with a weeklong 'Maine Coast & Canadian Harbors' cruise, round-trip Portland, followed by the line’s longest itinerary, a 15-night 'Canadian Maritimes & St. Lawrence Seaway' cruise, from Portland to Toronto.

Both itineraries operate again in the fall when Pearl also offers 10-night 'Canada & New England Fall Foliage' cruises between Québec City and Portland.

June through August in the Great Lakes

Summer will be spent exploring the Great Lakes. From June through August, Pearl Mist offers an 11-night 'Great Lakes & Georgian Bay' itinerary and a seven-night 'Great Lakes' itinerary. Both operate between Milwaukee and Toronto, and visit numerous US and Canadian ports. The first Great Lakes cruise departs Toronto on May 29, and the Great Lakes season is nearly sold out.

Expanded onboard and onshore enrichment

During the pause in cruise operations, Pearl Seas greatly expanded onboard and onshore enrichment programs. This season sees many new active experiences, from kayaking to hiking, and distinctive experiences like lobster fishing, seal watching and glass-bottom boat tours.

Shore adventures include a visit to Niagara Falls with boat tour of Horseshoe Falls; Mackinac Island, with lunch at the Grand Hotel; and Prince Edward Island, the setting for 'Anne of Green Gables.' At Bar Harbor, passengers can visit Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain. Whale watching is available in the Bay of Fundy. A walking tour of Lunenburg, 'the prettiest town in Canada' (also a UNESCO World Heritage site) is another option.
