Growing fleet of luxury expeditiion ships

'Expedition cruising is one of the fastest growing segments of the luxury market and I know our members and their clients will enjoy working with and sailing on board Ponant's growing fleet,' Signature CEO Alex Sharpe said.

For Ponant's part, 'This adds strength to our program of strategic growth, particularly in the American market, as we expand from five ships to 12 by 2021,' said Edie Rodriguez, Americas brand chairman.

Ponant's first Explorers-class ship, Le Lapérouse, entered service this month.

Exclusive privileges and benefits

Clients of Signature agencies will get one-of-a-kind experiences, exclusive privileges and complimentary benefits when sailing with Ponant.

'Our small ships can go to remote destinations where larger ships can’t venture, resulting in life-changing adventures and experiences,' Rodriguez said. 'This is what global luxury travelers crave but rarely find, especially at the high-end level. We are delighted to have our US-based sales team work more closely in the field with Signature travel advisers to grow our business together.'
